Sixth ranked Arkadia Lions (16-15) crushed at home 8th ranked UBSC Graz (7-24) by 25 points 98-73, which is the biggest margin this round. The game was mostly controlled by Arkadia Lions. UBSC Graz was better in fourth quarter 25-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Arkadia Lions dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to UBSC Graz's 40. They outrebounded UBSC Graz 41-24 including a 26-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Arkadia Lions players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Argentinian-Italian forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances) notched a double-double by scoring 29 points, 21 rebounds and 8 assists (made all of his eight free throws) to lead the effort and the former international point guard Benedikt Danek (176-86) supported him with 15 points and 9 assists. Even 21 points by the former international forward David Hasenburger (207-90) did not help to save the game for UBSC Graz. International Anton Maresch (191-91) added 13 points and 6 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. UBSC Graz's coach Lluis Pino gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Arkadia Lions moved-up to fifth place. UBSC Graz at the other side keeps the eighth position with 24 games lost. Arkadia Lions will play against Raiffeisen Wels (#6) on the road in the next round. UBSC Graz will play against the league's second-placed Gmunden Swans and hopes to get back on the winning track.
