Very expected game in Istanbul where 15th ranked Balikesir (7-23) was crushed by fourth ranked Darussafaka (23-7) 95-72 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Darussafaka led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Will Clyburn (201-90, college: Iowa St.) who scored 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Latvian Dairis Bertans (194-89) chipped in 17 points and 8 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Joey Dorsey (206-83, college: Memphis) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 19 rebounds and his fellow American import point guard Alfrie Kelley (183-85, college: S.Carolina) added 22 points and 4 assists respectively. Five Darussafaka and four Balikesir players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Darussafaka have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Anadolu Efes. Newly promoted Balikesir keeps the fifteenth position with 23 games lost.
