Regular Season Round 1: Hagen-Haspe - Duesseldorf 81-79

A very close game took place in Hagen between Hagen-Haspe and Duesseldorf. Hagen-Haspe (1-0) got a very close home victory over Duesseldorf (0-1). Hagen-Haspe managed to escape with a 2-point win 81-79 on Saturday evening. American point guard Jeremy Lewis (180-86, college: St.Thomas, TX) nailed 35 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his nine free throws !!!) for the winning side and Georgian-Spanish center Temur Kiknadze (205-92) accounted for 12 points and 7 rebounds. Lewis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Power forward Sebastian Kehr (201-91) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Reggie Cameron (201, college: Georgetown) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Duesseldorf in the defeat. Duesseldorf's coach Jonas Joenke tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Hagen-Haspe will meet at home Grevenbroich in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Duesseldorf will play against Dorsten (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
