Regular Season Round 2: Muenster - Dorsten 93-65

There was no surprise when Dorsten (0-3) was outplayed on the road by Muenster (2-0) 93-65 on Friday. Muenster outrebounded Dorsten 37-20 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Stefan Wess (204-94) scored 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Jan Koenig (201-93) chipped in 15 points during the contest. Four Muenster players scored in double figures. Muenster's coach Phillip Kappenstein felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American point guard Antoine Hosley (183-92, college: Mont.St.-Billings) responded with 21 points and 6 rebounds and center Wilhelm Koehler (206-88) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. Muenster will face Ibbenbueren (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Dorsten will play against Grevenbroich and hope to win that game.
