SG Schwelmer Baskets used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Coburg 80-71 on Saturday night. SG Schwelmer Baskets forced 19 Coburg turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Quite impressive performance for American guard Chris Hortman (190-88, college: Wisc.-Stout) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Croatian power forward Sasha Cuic (208-83, college: Oregon St.) contributed with 8 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Christopher Wolf (199-95) answered with 16 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Byron Sanford (183-93, college: Trevecca Naz.) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Coburg. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. SG Schwelmer Baskets will face Karlsruhe SC (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Coburg will play against Fraport Skyliners II (#10) and hope to win that game.
