Regular Season Round 2: Bernau - Oldenburg 80-76

Very predictable result when SSV Lok Bernau (2-0) defeated at home Oldenburg (0-2) 80-76 on Saturday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. SSV Lok Bernau looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Dexter Werner (198-94, college: N.Dakota St.) scored 24 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks (perfect from the field making all eleven shots !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and guard Robert Kulawick (192-86) chipped in 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. SSV Lok Bernau's coach Rene Schilling used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The former international Philip Zwiener (201-85) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Bosnian point guard Robert Drijencic (190-96) scored 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Oldenburg players scored in double figures. SSV Lok Bernau will face ETB Wohnbau in Essen in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Oldenburg will play at home against Schalke (#4) and hope to win that game.
