Regular Season Round 2: Rist Wedel - Stahnsdorf 94-63

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of RSV Eintracht (1-1) on the court of SC Rist Wedel. Visitors were rolled over by SC Rist Wedel 94-63. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to RSV Eintracht's 38. SC Rist Wedel forced 22 RSV Eintracht turnovers. Strangely RSV Eintracht outrebounded SC Rist Wedel 35-23 including 25 on the defensive glass. Lithuanian center Aurimas Adomaitis (205-87, college: LIU Brooklyn) notched 16 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Serbian guard Nino Celebic (191-91) supported him with 13 points and 10 assists. Four SC Rist Wedel players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds by forward Yannick Hildebrandt (197-97) did not help to save the game for RSV Eintracht. American Josh Smith (206-94, college: Clemson) added 9 points and 10 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SC Rist Wedel will play against Cuxhaven (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. RSV Eintracht will play against Itzehoe (#11) to get more than just one victory in their record.
