Regular Season Round 2: Randers - Stevnsgade 89-67

The game between closely ranked teams ended with Stevnsgade's (0-3) road loss to Randers (1-1) 67-89. The game was mostly controlled by Randers. Stevnsgade was better in second period 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Randers forced 19 Stevnsgade turnovers and had a 34-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. American-Belizean forward Charles Burgess (186-84, college: Texas Tech) orchestrated the victory by scoring 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international guard Chris Nielsen (193-85) contributed with 9 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Forward Filip Rajovic (190-97) replied with 13 points and 9 rebounds and Brazilian forward Matao de Souza (201-86, college: Idaho) added 11 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Stevnsgade. Four Stevnsgade players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
