Very expected game in Berlin where bottom-ranked ALBA-2 (0-2) was defeated by top-ranked Sixers (3-0) 73-67 on Saturday. Sixers made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian point guard Luka Petkovic (190-88) who helped to win the game recording 20 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and Czech center Jaroslav Tyrna (207-86, college: New Orleans, agency: Octagon Europe) who added 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side power forward Hendrik Drescher (205-0) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and guard Franz Wagner (195-1) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sixers have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of North leader, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser ALBA-2 still closes the standings with two games lost. Sixers will face WSG Koenigs (#7) in Wildau in the next round where they are favorite. ALBA-2 will play on the road against Goetting.ASC in Goettingen and hopes to get finally their first victory.
