Regular Season Round 4: Herford - Dorsten 91-81

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Dorsten (0-6) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Herford (5-1) 91-81 on Saturday. Herford shot 28 for 39 from the free-throw line, while Dorsten only scored six points from the stripe. Dorsten was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian-British forward Kris Douse (198-86, college: Point Park) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds and point guard Bastian Landgraf (194-95) who added 13 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Herford players scored in double figures. Herford's coach William Massenburg allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side naturalized Albanian point guard Nderim Pelaj (182-88) responded with 21 points and 4 assists and Lithuanian swingman Lukas Kazlauskas (188-92) scored 19 points. Herford have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place in West. Loser Dorsten still closes the standings with six games lost. Herford will have a break next round. Dorsten will play at home against Salzkotten (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
