Regular Season Round 3: Lietkabelis - Vytautas 87-69

There was no surprise in Panevezys where Vytautas (0-5) was defeated by Lietkabelis (6-0) 87-69 on Sunday. Lietkabelis made 20-of-22 free shots (90.9 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Vytautas turnovers and outrebounded them 94-74 including a 61-47 advantage in defensive rebounds. Lietkabelis looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists. Vytautas was plagued by 36 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was international Adas Juskevicius (194-89) who scored 14 points. Latvian swingman Zanis Peineris (203-90) chipped in 13 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Justas Sinica (203-85) who recorded 19 points and international forward Martynas Linkevicius (197-85, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Lietkabelis will face Nevezis (#8) in Kedainiai in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vytautas will play on the road against P.Zvaigzdes in Pasvalys and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
