Regular Season Round 2: Zolotoi Vek - Niko-Basket 76-86

There was no surprise in Kirovograd where Zolotoi Vek (0-2) was defeated by Niko-Basket (2-0) 86-76. The game was mostly controlled by Niko-Basket. Zolotoi Vek was better in fourth quarter 25-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Niko-Basket forced 22 Zolotoi Vek turnovers. Forward Kyrylo Meshheryakov (197-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Vadim Zaplotinskiy (200-97) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Niko-Basket's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Olexandr Drobiazko (200-93) replied with 17 points and 9 rebounds and forward Dmitro Antonets (199-88) added 14 points and 8 assists in the effort for Zolotoi Vek. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Niko-Basket will play against Mariupol at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Zolotoi Vek will play against Ch.Mavpy 2 in Cherkasy and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
