Another exciting game was between Besiktas and Trabzonspor where Besiktas (1-0) beat Trabzonspor (0-1) on the road 82-71. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Besiktas dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Trabzonspor's 28. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Sertac Sanli (211-91, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 assists. American swingman Jon Diebler (198-88, college: Ohio St., agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 14 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American Caleb Green (203-85, college: ORU) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import swingman Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Trabzonspor. Five Besiktas and four Trabzonspor players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Besiktas will play against Yesilgiresun Bld (#8) in Giresun in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Trabzonspor will play on the road against Sakarya BSB to get more than just one victory in their record.
