Everything went according to plan when eighth ranked Fraport Skyliners II (2-2) edged on the road bottom-ranked Karlsruhe SC (0-4) 73-70 on Saturday. British guard Jules Akodo (188-96) fired 17 points and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Garai Zeeb (187-97) chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Croatian swingman Luka Drezga (196-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) produced 21 points and Dutch swingman Chaed Wellian (203-92, college: Tennessee St.) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Five Fraport Skyliners II and four Karlsruhe SC players scored in double figures. Karlsruhe SC's coach Jaivon Harris rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Fraport Skyliners II moved-up to fifth place in South, which they share with Bayer Giants and Giessen 46ers II. Newly promoted Karlsruhe SC still closes the standings with four games lost. Fraport Skyliners II will face league's second-placed Iserlohn at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Karlsruhe SC will play against Giessen 46ers II (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
