Everything went according to plan when leader Hertener Loewen (6-0) beat on the road 9th ranked Ibbenbueren (1-5) 83-77 on Saturday. Hertener Loewen shot 26 for 36 from the free-throw line, while Ibbenbueren only scored nine points from the stripe. American power forward Dijon Smith (203-89, college: Ft.Hays State) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 17 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners and American-Spanish guard Marco Porcher-Jimenez (193-92, college: FIU) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Omar Zemhoute (190-91) responded with 8 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists and forward Benjamin Fumey (203-87, college: Valparaiso) scored 18 points.
