Regular Season Round 5: Wels - Gmunden 76-91

Date: October 27, 2017
The game in Wels was also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Gmunden Swans (3-1) played at the court of 7th ranked Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (1-3). Gmunden Swans defeated Raiffeisen Flyers Wels 91-76 on Friday. Gmunden Swans shot 61.0 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Gmunden Swans especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.3 percentage. The best player for the winners was international forward Enis Murati (194-88, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 27 points and 5 assists. Naturalized German power forward Tilo Klette (206-77) chipped in 18 points. American guard Elijah Wilson (193-94, college: Co.Carolina) produced 16 points and the former international Davor Lamesic (205-83, agency: Interperformances) added 12 points respectively for the hosts. Four Gmunden Swans and five Raiffeisen Flyers Wels players scored in double figures. Gmunden Swans have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Kapfenberg. Loser Raiffeisen Flyers Wels keep the seventh position with three games lost. Gmunden Swans will meet at home bottom-ranked UBSC Graz (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels will play against the league's leader Arkadia Lions in Traiskirchen and hope to win that game.
