Regular Season Round 7: Oberhaching - Jena II 92-69
Date: October 29, 2017
Very expected game when bottom-ranked Jena II (0-6) was smashed by seventh ranked Oberhaching (4-2) in Deisenhofen 92-69 on Sunday. It was a very good performance for center Moritz Wohlers (203-84, college: Mont.St.-Billings) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds. Swingman Torsten Walter (188-91) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Four Oberhaching players scored in double figures. Marco Rahn (201-98) answered with 21 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Jan Heber (187-98) added 13 points in the effort for Jena II. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Oberhaching moved-up to fifth place in South-East, which they share with Leitershofen. Jena II lost their sixth game in a row. They still close the standings with six games lost. Oberhaching will face Bamberg (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Jena II will play against Treuchtlingen (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
