There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Karlsruhe SC (0-8) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Iserlohn (6-2) 71-60 on Saturday. Iserlohn dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Karlsruhe SC's 24. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Donte Nicholas (196-87, college: Fresno Pacific) who helped to win the game recording 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Soeren Fritze (190-94) who added 12 points during the contest. Iserlohn's coach Dragan Torbica used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American center Jeremy Black (203-85, college: Tampa, agency: Court Side) responded with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Dutch swingman Chaed Wellian (203-92, college: Tennessee St.) scored 12 points. Iserlohn moved-up to third place in South, which they share with Schwelm. Newly promoted Karlsruhe SC still closes the standings with eight games lost. Iserlohn will face Giessen 46ers II (#5) on the road in the next round. Karlsruhe SC will play against FC Bayern II (#10) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
