Regular Season Round 8: Koblenz - Saarlouis/Dillingen 92-88

There was a small surprise when seventh ranked Koblenz (5-3) defeated at home one of their biggest challengers Saarlouis/Dillingen (5-3) 92-88 on Sunday. Koblenz made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Saarlouis/Dillingen turnovers. Saarlouis/Dillingen was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Marlin Mason (201-93, college: Cleveland St.) who helped to win the game recording 32 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and British power forward Shore Adenekan (205-92, college: Seattle) who added 12 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. American guard Ricky Easterling (189-83, college: Bridgewater) responded with 43 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) and American-British guard Jack Tisdale (183-96, college: New Rochelle) scored 18 points. Koblenz moved-up to fifth place in South-West, which they share with Kaiserslautern and Saarlouis/Dillingen. Saarlouis/Dillingen lost third consecutive game. Koblenz will face Mainz (#11) on the road in the next round where they are favorite.
