The game in Kedainiai was also quite interesting. Sixth ranked Dzukija (5-5) played at the court of 7th ranked Nevezis (3-6). Dzukija managed to secure a 4-point victory 79-75 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Nevezis. Dzukija dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Nevezis' 36. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a very good performance for Spanish guard Alejandro Hernandez (189-90) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists. Forward Paulius Petrilevicius (200-91, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Ukrainian center Vladyslav Koreniuk (210-94, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 17 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Gintautas Matulis (196-86) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Nevezis. Four Dzukija and five Nevezis players scored in double figures. Nevezis' coach Ramunas Cvirka tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Dzukija moved-up to fifth place, which they share with P.Zvaigzdes. Loser Nevezis keeps the seventh position with six games lost. Dzukija will face higher ranked Neptunas (#4) in Klaipeda in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nevezis will play at home against the league's second-placed Lietkabelis and hope to win that game.
