Regular Season Round 9: Limburg - Schwenningen 65-93

No shocking result in a game when first ranked BV Villingen-Schwenningen (8-1) smashed on the road 14th ranked Limburg (1-8) 93-65 on Saturday. BV Villingen-Schwenningen dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Limburg's 38. They outrebounded Limburg 28-15 including 21 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Rasheed Moore (196, college: E.Stroudsburg) who scored 31 points. Italian-Slovenian center Davor Barovic (211-90) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four BV Villingen-Schwenningen players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Lithuanian point guard Julius Zurna (188-86) who recorded 17 points and 4 assists and guard Justin Stallbohm (182-92) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for BV Villingen-Schwenningen. They maintain first place in South-West with 8-1 record. Limburg lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with eight games lost. BV Villingen-Schwenningen will face Kaiserslautern (#4) at home in the next round. Limburg will play against Koblenz (#5) and hope to win that game.
