Regular Season Round 9: Rosenheim - Zwickau 84-74

Everything went according to plan when eleventh ranked Rosenheim (3-5) won against at home 13th ranked GGZ Baskets (1-7) 84-74 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American point guard Jguwon Hogges (173-86, college: Oregon Tech) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists. French forward Evans Ganapamo (201-94, college: Prairie View A&M) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Rosenheim's coach Mario Knezevic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian swingman Sandro Kordis (195-92) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Hendrik Bellscheidt (193-90) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rosenheim moved-up to ninth place in South-East, which they share with Bamberg and Schwabing. GGZ Baskets lost their seventh game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with seven games lost. Rosenheim will face league's second-placed Gotha II on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. GGZ Baskets will play against Treuchtlingen (#5) and hope to win that game.
