Regular Season Round 10: BSW Sixers - Goetting.ASC 95-76

There was no surprise in Sandersdorf where 7th ranked Goetting.ASC (4-4) was crushed by top-ranked Sixers (8-0) 95-76 on Saturday. Sixers dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Goetting.ASC's 24. They outrebounded Goetting.ASC 33-19 including 22 on the defensive glass. Sixers looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. American forward Terrence Williams (198-93, college: Charlotte) fired 29 points (on 13-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners. Croatian point guard Luka Petkovic (190-88) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 14 assists. Sixers' coach Tomas Grepl used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Nick Boakye (197-95) produced 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and guard Marco Grimaldi (188-83) added 17 points and 10 assists respectively for lost side. Four Goetting.ASC players scored in double figures. Sixers have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position in North with 8-0 record. Goetting.ASC lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the seventh place with four games lost. Sixers will face Weser Bsk/BTS (#10) in Neustadt in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Goetting.ASC will play at home against Vechta-2 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
