Regular Season Round 10: Crailsheim II - Eisbaeren 50-74

BG Karlsruhe can celebrate finally their first win this season after eight consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they outplayed much higher ranked Crailsheim II (3-6) on the road game in Crailsheim 74-50 on Saturday. Croatian guard Matej Jelovcic (185-98) fired 25 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Israeli forward Uri Garmizo (194-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds. American forward Eric Ross (201-94, college: Shorter) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds and forward Vincent Hoffmann (206-1) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BG Karlsruhe (1-8) left bottom position moving up to fourteenth place in South-West. It was Crailsheim II's fourth loss in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth position with six games lost. BG Karlsruhe will face higher ranked TV Langen (#7) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
