Regular Season Round 8: Stevnsgade - Wolfpack/BMS 83-87

Date: November 19, 2017
Bottom-ranked Stevnsgade (0-7) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 87-83 loss to seventh ranked BMS Skovlunde (2-8) in Stevnsgade on Sunday evening. They also forced 21 Stevnsgade turnovers. 24 personal fouls committed by Stevnsgade helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Durell Vinson (202-85, college: Wagner) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Brazilian forward Matao de Souza (201-86, college: Idaho) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Four BMS Skovlunde players scored in double figures. International forward Mathias Seilund (204-90, college: Fair Dickinson) produced 28 points and 6 rebounds and forward Filip Rajovic (190-97) added 16 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted BMS Skovlunde maintains seventh position with 2-8 record. Stevnsgade at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. BMS Skovlunde are looking forward to face league's second-placed Horsholm at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Stevnsgade will have a break next round.
