Regular Season Round 10: ALBA Berlin II - Ebstorf 78-51

Rather predictable result in Berlin where ninth ranked ALBA-2 (3-5) outscored bottom-ranked Ebstorf (0-9) 78-51 on Sunday. ALBA-2 dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Ebstorf's 34. They outrebounded Ebstorf 53-23 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when ALBA-2 made 7 blocks. Lorenz Brenneke (204-0) fired a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Badu Buck (196-99) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Christian Hellbruegge (194-82) produced 14 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and swingman Konrad Burda (195-96) added 7 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ALBA-2 moved-up to eighth place in North, which they share with Weser Bsk/BTS and Stade. Newly promoted Ebstorf still closes the standings with nine games lost. ALBA-2 will face Westerstede (#11) on the road in the next round. Ebstorf will play against WSG Koenigs and hopes to get finally their first victory.
