Regular Season Round 10: Oberhaching - Ansbach 97-90

Rather expected game in Deisenhofen where 6th ranked Ansbach (4-5) was defeated by fourth ranked Oberhaching (7-2) 97-90 on Sunday. Oberhaching made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game. Point guard Janosch Koegler (190-93) fired 19 points for the winners (made all of his seven free throws). Serbian center Miljan Grujic (206) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Oberhaching's coach Mario Matic used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Walter Simon (202-89, college: Cumberland) produced 20 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and American power forward Nick Freer (198-85, college: Grand Valley St., agency: SportsVision-Service) added 18 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Five Oberhaching and four Ansbach players scored in double figures. Oberhaching have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in South-East, which they share with TSV Troester and Treuchtlingen. Loser Ansbach keeps the sixth position with five games lost. Oberhaching will face TSV Troester (#3) in Breitenguessbach in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Ansbach will play at home against Bamberg and hope to win that game.
