The game in Hagen supposed to be also quite interesting. One of their biggest challengers White Wings (6-4) played at the court of sixth ranked Phoenix Hagen (6-3). Phoenix Hagen smashed White Wings 86-60 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of White Wings. They outrebounded White Wings 45-27 including a 41-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Phoenix Hagen looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by White Wings' players. American guard James Reid (190-94, college: Boise St.) notched 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and swingman Jonas Grof (201-96, college: High School) supported him with 7 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists. Even 14 points and 4 assists by point guard Till-Joscha Joenke (193-92) did not help to save the game for White Wings. American point guard Chase Adams (177-88, college: Pittsburgh) added 12 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Phoenix Hagen moved-up to fourth place. Loser White Wings dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Phoenix Hagen will meet Chemnitz (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. White Wings will play against Koeln Rh.Stars (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
