Regular Season Round 12: Jena II - Zwickau 94-83

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both thirteenth ranked Jena II and 14th ranked GGZ Baskets had identical 1-9 record. This time Jena II used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Zwickau 94-83 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Jena II. GGZ Baskets was better in third quarter 27-22. Four Jena II players scored in double figures. Jena II's coach Christopher Schreiber used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The best for the losing side was Croatian swingman Sandro Kordis (195-92) with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists and center Mario Nagler (203-87) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. Jena II (2-9) moved-up to twelfth place in South-East, which they share with Herzogenaurach. GGZ Baskets lost tenth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with ten games lost. Jena II will face higher ranked Ansbach (#6) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. GGZ Baskets will play against Gotha II (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
