Regular Season Round 12: Coburg - Iserlohn 82-91

Very predictable result when third ranked Iserlohn (9-3) beat on the road 10th ranked Coburg (3-9) 91-82 on Sunday. Coburg was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Donte Nicholas (196-87, college: Fresno Pacific) who scored 31 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 5 steals (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Point guard Soeren Fritze (190-94) chipped in 19 points and 4 assists. Four Iserlohn players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Jordan Burris (201-92, college: CS San Bernar.) who recorded 17 points and American-Panamanian swingman Anell Alexis (200-90, college: Marist) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Iserlohn maintains third position in South with 9-3 record having just two points less than leader Elchingen. Coburg lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth place with nine games lost. Iserlohn will face Karlsruhe SC (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Coburg will play against Bayer Giants in Leverkusen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
