Regular Season Round 19: Ezerunas - KTU 95-94

Fourteenth-ranked KTU (2-17) made lots of trouble for eleventh ranked Ezerunas (8-11) in Moletai. Ezerunas managed to secure only one-point victory 95-94. However their fans expected easier game. Ezerunas made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Strangely KTU outrebounded Ezerunas 36-24 including 24 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was an exceptional evening for center Ignas Lukosius (202-93) who led the winners and scored 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 blocks. Laurynas Kirlys (191-93) accounted for 18 points for the winning side. Forward Ignas Dauksys (198-93) came up with 28 points and 9 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field) and guard Karolis Kokoska (194-92) added 24 points respectively for KTU in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Ezerunas moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Ereliai Mazeikiai. KTU lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 17 games lost. Ezerunas' next round opponent will be Delikatesas (#13) in Joniskis. KTU will play at home against Jonava and hope to win that game.
