Very expected game in St.Polten where 10th ranked Basket 2K (3-9) was defeated by second ranked UBC St. Polten (9-2) 91-86. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. UBC St. Polten players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. It was a good game for the former international forward Martin Speiser (202-83) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Lukas Boeck (184-89) contributed with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Croatian center Marko Moric (205-81) replied with a triple-double by scoring 16 points, 19 rebounds and 10 assists and forward Aldin Avdic (193-97) added 25 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for Basket 2K. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. UBC St. Polten have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 9-2 record having four points less than leader Timberwolves. Basket 2K at the other side keeps the tenth place with nine games lost. UBC St. Polten's next round opponent will be Rocks (#6) in Mattersburg. Basket 2K's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Vienna Timberwolves.
