The game between closely ranked teams ended with 9th ranked Westerstede's (4-7) home loss to eighth ranked Stade (6-5) 89-108 on Sunday. Stade dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Westerstede's 44. They outrebounded Westerstede 43-21 including a 20-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Stade looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. American point guard Yettra Specks (178-95, college: Jackson St.) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 assists for the winners. Swingman Janis Stielow (193-95) chipped in 22 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Stade players scored in double figures. Naturalized Bosnian point guard Robert Drijencic (190-96) produced 23 points and 4 assists and naturalized FYR Macedonian point guard Armin Musovic (192-96) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Westerstede's coach Nenad Cirkovic rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Stade. They moved-up to sixth place in North, which they share with Bergedorf and Goetting.ASC. Loser Westerstede keeps the ninth position with seven games lost. Stade will face ALBA-2 (#11) in Berlin in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Westerstede will play at home against the league's second-placed Neustadt TSV and hope to win that game.
