Regular Season Round 13: Kronberg - Schwenningen 65-81

Very expected game when 11th ranked Kronberg (4-8) was defeated at home by second ranked BV Villingen-Schwenningen (11-1) 81-65 on Sunday. BV Villingen-Schwenningen dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Kronberg's 26. American forward Rasheed Moore (196, college: E.Stroudsburg) fired 22 points for the winners. Italian-Slovenian center Davor Barovic (211-90) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Yannick Schicktanz (186-90) produced 17 points and 7 assists and center Julian Reinwald (209) added 16 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Kronberg players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for BV Villingen-Schwenningen. They keep a position of South-West leader, which they share with Speyer. Newly promoted Kronberg dropped to the tenth place with eight games lost. BV Villingen-Schwenningen will face Fellbach (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Kronberg will play against Koblenz and hope to win that game.
