The game in Kharkiv supposed to be also worth to mention about. Fifth ranked Khimik (6-7) played at the court of 7th ranked Politekhnik (2-13). Khimik smashed Politekhnik 88-53. The game without a history. Khimik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Politekhnik's 28. Khimik players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Austin Arians (198-93, college: Wake Forest) who led his team to a victory scoring 20 points. His fellow American import point guard Derrick Colter (180-94, college: Duquesne, agency: Inception Sports) helped adding 13 points and 6 assists. The best for the losing side was power forward Anton Rochnyak (205-91) with 15 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Bo Barnes (193-90, college: Arizona St., agency: Haylett Sports) scored 6 points and 9 rebounds. Politekhnik's coach Timur Arabadzhy gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Khimik maintains fifth place with 6-7 record. Politekhnik lost their sixth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Zaporizhye. Khimik will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Politekhnik will play again at home against Khimik (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
