Regular Season Round 21: Jonava - Vytis 74-91

NKL top team - Vytis (18-3) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they beat seventh ranked Jonava (10-11) 91-74. They outrebounded Jonava 39-21 including a 26-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Vytis looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Gytis Radzevicius (195-95) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Brian Wanamaker (185-89, college: Texas Wesleyan) chipped in 9 points, 8 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals. Wanamaker is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Vytis players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Lukas Grabauskas (192-95) who recorded 12 points and 4 assists and guard Dovydas Redikas (192-92) added 10 points respectively. Vytis maintains first place with 18-3 record. Jonava at the other side keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. They share it with Taurages. Vytis will meet at home Neptunas-Akv. (#4) in the next round. Jonava will play against Ereliai Mazeikiai and hope to secure a win.
