Regular Season Round 14: BSW Sixers - Bergedorf 95-62

Regionalliga top team - Sixers (12-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Bergedorf (6-6) in Sandersdorf 95-62. They outrebounded Bergedorf 45-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. Sixers looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Bergedorf was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Lithuanian Eimantas Stankevicius (190-98, agency: Octagon Europe) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized Croatian center Benedikt Turudic (206-97) contributed with 18 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Sixers players scored in double figures. Swingman Florian Bunde (194-86) replied with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Marvin Steinberg (200-87) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Bergedorf. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sixers have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position in North with 12-0 record. Bergedorf lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. Sixers will face Ebstorf (#13) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Bergedorf will play against Goetting.ASC (#8) in Goettingen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
