Regular Season Round 14: Stahnsdorf - Art.Dragons 95-86

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Artland Dragons (9-5) against twelfth ranked RSV Eintracht (3-11) on Saturday night. Visiting Artland Dragons were defeated by RSV Eintracht in a tough game in Stahnsdorf 86-95. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Artland Dragons. RSV Eintracht made 25-of-33 free shots (75.8 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for RSV Eintracht especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Mike Holton-Jr (185-90, college: St.Michael's) who scored 39 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. The other American import Josh Smith (206-94, college: Clemson) chipped in a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. American guard Pierre Bland (188-92, college: IPFW) produced 17 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and center Yasin Kolo (208-92, college: Bellarmine) added 15 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. RSV Eintracht moved-up to eleventh place in North, which they share with Cuxhaven. Loser Artland Dragons keep the second position with five games lost. They share it with Bernau. RSV Eintracht will meet higher ranked Rostock (#6) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Artland Dragons will play against Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (#5) and hope to secure a win.
