Bottom-ranked Worthersee Piraten (0-13) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 73-61 loss to ninth ranked KOS (6-6) in Klagenfurt. They dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Worthersee Piraten's 22. Slovenian point guard Ziga Erculj (182-86) nailed 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Croatian center Vjeran Soldo (206-84) accounted for 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four KOS players scored in double figures. Guard Lukas Simoner (190-99) came up with 30 points and 6 rebounds and naturalized Bosnian forward Maximilian Kunovjanek (199-87) added 18 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Worthersee Piraten in the defeat. The victory was the third consecutive win for KOS. They moved-up to eighth place. Worthersee Piraten lost their thirteenth game in a row. They still close the standings with 13 games lost. KOS's next round opponent will be higher ranked Lions (#4) in Dornbirn and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Worthersee Piraten will play on the road against the league's second-placed UBC St. Polten (#2) having rather not much hope for a victory.
