Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Westerstede (4-8) lost at home to second ranked Neustadt TSV (9-3) 93-87 on Sunday. Neustadt TSV looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American power forward Jake Marvin (203, college: Hastings) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Dutch point guard Dyon Doekhi (188-87) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Neustadt TSV's coach Allen Smith used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Naturalized Bosnian point guard Robert Drijencic (190-96) replied with 27 points and 6 rebounds and Marcello Schroeder (195-87) added 20 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Westerstede. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Neustadt TSV have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Newly promoted Neustadt TSV maintains second position in North with 9-3 record having eight points less than leader Grevenbroich. Loser Westerstede keeps the ninth place with eight games lost. Neustadt TSV will face ALBA-2 (#11) in Berlin in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
