Regular Season Round 13: Zalgiris - Dzukija 72-60

LKL top team - Zalgiris (14-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat sixth ranked Dzukija (6-10) in Kaunas 72-60. The game without a history. Zalgiris led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American center Brandon Davies (208-91, college: BYU, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up and scored 9 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Serbian point guard Vasilije Micic (196-94, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 9 points and 5 assists. At the losing side forward Paulius Petrilevicius (200-91, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Spanish guard Alejandro Hernandez (189-90) scored 8 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains first place with 14-2 record. Dzukija at the other side keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. They share it with Juventus. Zalgiris will play against Juventus (#6) in Utena in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Dzukija will play at home against Lietuvos rytas and hopes to get back on the winning track.
