Regular Season Round 24: Vytis - Telsiai 99-65

NKL top team - Vytis (21-3) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Telsiai (13-11) in Sakiai 99-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Telsiai. Vytis shot 66.1 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 65.2 percentage. The best player for the winners was forward Marijus Uzupis (197-93) who scored 27 points (perfect from downtown making all five shots). Gytis Radzevicius (195-95) chipped in 17 points and 6 rebounds. Five Vytis players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Kajus Okmanas (185-95) who recorded 15 points and power forward Mindaugas Norkus (200-85) added 13 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Vytis have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 21-3 record. Loser Telsiai keeps the fifth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Zalgiris II. Vytis will meet Palanga (#12) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Telsiai will play against Silute (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
