The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked Electrico FC's (3-10) home loss to tenth ranked Ovarense (5-8) 63-73. Ovarense forced 19 Electrico FC turnovers. The winners were led by Canadian-British forward Jermel Kennedy (201-89, college: Lander) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Will Perry (180-94, college: Lenoir-Rhyne) supported him with 21 points. Ovarense's coach Nuno Manarte allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) by Cape Verdean forward Kevin Coronel (197-91) did not help to save the game for Electrico FC. Guard Tiago Pinto (187-88) added 16 points. Ovarense moved-up to ninth place. Electrico FC at the other side keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. Ovarense's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Barreirense (#12) in Barreiro. Electrico FC will play on the road against Lusitania in Angra and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
