Regular Season Round 16: BSW Sixers - Westerstede 91-50

Undefeated leader Sixers delivered the fourteenth consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 9th ranked Westerstede (5-8) 91-50 in Sandersdorf. Sixers dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Westerstede's 22. They outrebounded Westerstede 45-25 including a 37-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sixers looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Westerstede's players. Croatian point guard Luka Petkovic (190-88) fired 16 points and 8 assists for the winners. Lithuanian Eimantas Stankevicius (190-98, agency: Octagon Europe) chipped in 16 points and 6 assists. Four Sixers players scored in double figures. Sixers' coach Tomas Grepl felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Marcello Schroeder (195-87) produced 16 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Franjo Borchers (190-93) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Sixers (14-0) have an impressive 14-game winning streak. They maintain first position in North with a perfect record of 14 victories in a row. Westerstede lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with eight games lost. Sixers will face ALBA-2 (#10) in Berlin in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Westerstede will play on the road against Goetting.ASC in Goettingen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
