Regular Season Round 17: Treuchtlingen - Schwabing 86-72

Very predictable result when third ranked Treuchtlingen (12-3) won against 9th ranked Schwabing (5-9) in Treutchlingen 86-72 on Sunday. Strangely Schwabing outrebounded Treuchtlingen 37-24 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Schwabing's players. Schwabing was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Guard Tim Eisenberger (197-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists. Swingman Florian Beierlein (195-95) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Chris Wurmseher (192-97) answered with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Fynn Fischer (208-99) added 18 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Schwabing. Five Treuchtlingen and four Schwabing players scored in double figures. Schwabing's coach rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Treuchtlingen moved-up to second place in South-East, which they share with Gotha II and Vilsbiburg. Loser Schwabing keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Treuchtlingen will face Ansbach (#6) on the road in the next round. Schwabing will play against Vilsbiburg and hope to win that game.
