Regular Season Round 15: Wolfpack/BMS - Stevnsgade 94-91

The most exciting game of round 15 in the Ligaen took place in Skovlunde. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of bottom-ranked Stevnsgade (0-13) to seventh ranked BMS Skovlunde (3-11) 94-91 in the game for the seventh place. Stevnsgade trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 27-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 91-94 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Stevnsgade 45-33 including 20 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for American forward Durell Vinson (202-85, college: Wagner) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 20 rebounds. Guard Anders Hansen (189-94, college: Niagara) contributed with 18 points and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Filip Rajovic (190-97) answered with 32 points and the former international forward Mike Flowers (194-86, college: Barton, NC) added 13 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists in the effort for Stevnsgade. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Newly promoted BMS Skovlunde maintains seventh place with 3-11 record. Stevnsgade at the other side still closes the standings with 13 games lost. BMS Skovlunde will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Stevnsgade will play at home against the league's second-placed Bakken (#2) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
