Regular Season Round 18: Langen - Kronberg 64-56

Very expected game when 10th ranked Kronberg (7-10) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked TV Langen (10-6) 64-56 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 14-10. But Kronberg won second period 17-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when TV Langen won last quarter 19-12. American forward Nick Smith (203-95, college: Belmont) scored 25 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Ruben Spoden (202-89) chipped in 14 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was guard Yannick Schicktanz (186-90) with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Jure Puljas (200-89) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. TV Langen moved-up to fifth place in South-West. Newly promoted Kronberg keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. TV Langen will face Fellbach (#9) on the road in the next round. Kronberg will play against Lich II and hope to win that game.
