Regular Season Round 17: Mladost ZE - Radnicki 101-95 OT

Thirteenth-ranked Radnicki (2-15) made lots of trouble for tenth ranked Mladost ZE (8-9) in Zemun. Mladost ZE managed to secure only six-point victory 101-95. However their fans expected easier game. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-14. But Radnicki won second period 22-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Radnicki used huge pressure winning it 25-23 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 8-14. Mladost ZE shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Radnicki was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Aleksa Novakovic (200-96, college: E.Illinois) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Point guard Vuk Malidzan (193-88, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 23 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winners. American forward Orlando Coleman (196-92, college: Texas Southern) answered with 31 points and 9 rebounds and forward Petar Beader (205-85, agency: BeoExcell) added 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for Radnicki. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mladost ZE moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Beovuk 72 and Dunav SB. Radnicki lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Sloga. Mladost ZE will play against league's leader Dynamic BG in Beograd in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Radnicki will play at home against Vrsac (#3) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
