Regular Season Round 17: Stevnsgade - Wolfpack/BMS 76-70

Bottom-ranked Stevnsgade managed to get the second consecutive victory on Tuesday night. This time they won against seventh-ranked BMS Skovlunde 76-70. And what about a second win in a row after ...thirteen consecutive losses. BMS Skovlunde was trailing by 8 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 22-15 charge of Stevnsgade, which allowed them to win the game. Forward Stefan Jevric (201-98) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners and the former international forward Mike Flowers (194-86, college: Barton, NC) chipped in 17 points and 17 rebounds. Five Stevnsgade players scored in double figures. Stevnsgade's coach Ricky Kristensen used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lithuanian guard Edgaras Stanionis (195-88, agency: Dynamics Global Management) responded with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds (was perfect 15-for-15 from the free throw line !!!) and American forward Durell Vinson (202-85, college: Wagner) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 18 rebounds. Stevnsgade maintains eighth place with 2-13 record. Newly promoted BMS Skovlunde keeps the seventh position with 13 games lost. Stevnsgade will meet at home league's second-placed Bakken in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BMS Skovlunde will play against Naestved (#4) and hope to secure a win.
