Regular Season Round 23: Wels - Gmunden 75-83

The game between Top Four teams took place in Wels. 4th placed host Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (11-9) lost to third ranked Gmunden Swans (15-5) 83-75. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels trailed by 14 points after 3 quarters before a 22-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 75-83 at the end of the game. Gmunden Swans looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for naturalized German power forward Tilo Klette (206-77) who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. The former international point guard Daniel Friedrich (181-92, agency: Athleadz) helped adding 12 points and 4 assists. Four Gmunden Swans players scored in double figures. The former international Davor Lamesic (205-83, agency: Interperformances) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Elijah Wilson (193-94, college: Co.Carolina) scored 17 points and 4 assists. Gmunden Swans keep a position of league leader, which they share with Arkadia and Kapfenberg. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels at the other side keep the fourth place with nine games lost. Gmunden Swans is looking forward to face league's leader Kapfenberg Bulls on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels will play against the league's second-placed Arkadia Lions in Traiskirchen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
